My name is Bridget Grace Regan, I’m a 23-year-old physical therapy grad student at Emory University in Atlanta, GA who is learning to bake and loves it. Looking up recipes to find the best and tastiest one is a favorite pastime of mine, and of course trying them out.
Through this blog I aim to share my cooking adventures, thoughts on physical therapy and updates on my life in general. I am very excited about the field of physical therapy and would like to share information about it with the rest of the world wide web in a way that is easy to understand. Since being a student I realize there is so much people are unaware of about PT and healthcare in general and that a lot of information can be a little technical to read.
I grew up in Buffalo, NY before moving to Southwest Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL with a major in biology. I had a great time in undergrad and found my passion in service and volunteering. My biggest cause is ending hunger and homelessness and poverty in general as well as promoting human rights globally. My favorite organizations are Amnesty International and Heifer International as well as Oxfam.
I’ve been in Atlanta since 2008 and have the most wonderful boyfriend, Andrew! He lives in Fairfax, VA, which means a lot of fun-filled weekend trips to the DC area (and sweetie pie to Atlanta too). I graduate in May 2011, although I’m not sure what area of PT I will go into just yet. My all-time favorite food is German Potato Salad and my favorite dessert is anything chocolate. I like to work out with exercise DVDs, specifically pilates and yoga.
